To mark the departure of one of the most famous ad personalities of all time, Mirrorball created an experience worthy of Dos Equis’ “The Most Interesting Man.” To coincide with giving away the MIM’s coveted collection online, we envisioned an estate auction as sophisticated as Sotheby’s but with the Dos Equis flair and twist. Employing the campaign’s strategic brand pillars, Mirrorball created several levels to the affair encouraging consumer engagement, including creating a fake currency to use in the auction, performance artists, and the most interesting venues imaginable in each city. After throwing a wild party at Wall Street last November, the Most Interesting Man in the World has decided to say goodbye to earth and take a one-way trip to Mars. Lucky for us, he decided to leave his most prized possessions behind for all his fans.
Some of his lavish items included a leather elephant, a prized art piece, and a gigantic crest to the people with the most "dositas." While guests enjoyed endless Dos Equis and specially made cocktails, auction winners were also surprised with a special gift that went with each item including luxurious spa day, twenty-course meal, and two orchestra seats to Hamilton. One lucky individual also walked away with an adopted elephant care of the Impact Plan.
