We took the biggest concert of the year and gave it a creative anchor

Pandora has changed the way true music fans discover and listen to music. Smart insights and years of listening has given the streaming service’s users the chance to curate music for their lives, their moods, and for the world around them.

For the last 5 years, Pandora has thrown the concert of the year every December, with both fans and users of Pandora lining up around the block in the cold and snow for a chance to get into the free celebration featuring their favorite up-and-coming artists.

And in 2017, Pandora’s newest campaign, Sounds Like You, rewarded true music fans with a look into their favorite artists’ personal playlists.

Our task? To take the core tenants of Sounds Like You and celebrate the incredible originality and creativity of music fans with the best, craziest, loudest concert of the year. From creative production for the massive venue, stage design, sponsorship and bar design, and overall production, The Mirrorball team was agency-of-record for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Our approach

The many dimensions of music encompasses different niches, faces and sounds that stand out, create culture, and move public sentiment. Each listener is different, and with Pandora, each can discover their own magic.

The venue was anchored by an incredible stage that the Mirrorball team designed and produced. Taking cues from Icelandic glaciers and the northern lights, both the stage and sponsor areas blended seamlessly to create a futuristic winter world.

The result? One amazing sold-out concert with talent like Post Malone and SZA and a new relationship with the smartest and coolest streaming service around.
